Should your child be forced to stay at home due to symptoms linked to Corona Virus, we wanted to offer you some ideas to help you continue their education.

We will be writing independently and encouraging children to write ‘golden sentences’. These are sentences that begin with a capital letter, have finger spaces between words, and a full stop at the end. We are also working on becoming fluent readers. Please help your child to read a few pages of their book every night. If children struggle to read, they will struggle with all aspects of the curriculum. Reception and Year 1 children are working hard in ‘Read, Write ,Inc.’ phonics.
In Numeracy, we will be working with numbers up to 100, adding and subtracting, multiplying and dividing, days of the week, time, shape and money.
- E every Thursday. Children should come into school wearing their PE kit.
- Read at home on a regular basis. We aim to change reading books daily.
- Year 1 children will get homework every Friday.
Many thanks for your continued support. Teamwork makes the dream work!
