Welcome to Chestnut
Just like that the first term is completed! Well done everyone. Our Assessment results during that final week of term really highlights our amazing work. The scores from everyone showed massive improvement and progress made! For some children they were chasing 100% correct and were very near perfection!
We were so impressed with how well the children started the year in Chestnut Class. We have already made some great memories and now have the Spring term to look forward to!
A huge thank you to all our parents and carers from the staff, for all the preparations you have made to ensure your children’s start to a new school year has been such a success.
Please see below for important information on what your child will be learning about this year. We will post photos and updates to showcase what has been happening in class on Class Dojo.
Start time: 8:50am Finish time: 3:20pm

Class Dojos
We award Class Dojos to children in Chestnut who are well behaved, try hard in class, are well mannered and help others.
Parents can use the codes sent home to connect to our class dojos and see how well children are doing.
Who will win the Class Dojo competition this term for the child with the most positive points?
We have a race each week to announce the Dojo Champion and this has been really exciting to see how many the children have achieved.

TIMES TABLE ROCKSTARS
When it comes to times tables, speed AND accuracy are important – the more facts your child remembers, the easier it is for them to do harder calculations.
Times Table Rock Stars is a fun and challenging programme designed to help students master the times tables! To be a Times Table Rock Star you need to answer any multiplication fact up to 12×12 in less than 3 seconds!
All children will receive their own log-ins for TT Rockstars and we will enjoy Millbrook, local and even some National Competitions!
